SCEs Subcommittee Participation in Electronics Conference
1. Following the 1959 Intelligence Conference on Soviet
Electronics, this Subcommittee devoted several discussion per-
lods to the question of ETSC participation in future Conferen-
ces. The consensus of the Subcommittee was that considerable
importance should be attached to the inclusion of economic con-
siderations in future Conferences and that the EIC/ETSC should
continue to be represented
2. A statement of Subcommittee interest in future Confer-
ences was drafted and forwarded to the Chairman of the Electronics
Subcommittee of the Scientific Intelligence Committee A copy of
this memorandum is attached.

3. As presently scheduled, the next Electronics Con-
ference will be held during the summer or ear all of calendar
year 1960. Agenda planning will begin during the next few months.
The EJSC would welcome any comments or guidance relative to this
conference' which t EIC wishes to provide.
