MEMORANDUM FOR : Members of the Economic Intelligence
Committee
SUBJECT Abolishment of the EIC Subcommittee on
General' Economic Analysis
REFERENCE ETC-M-134, 21 February 1973 (attached)
1. In the reference minutes of the 21 February 1973 meeting
of the Economic Intelligence Committee, the Chairman advised that
a memorandum would be forthcoming, recommending that the Sub-
committee on General Economic Analysis be abolished.
2. The Subcommittee has held no formal meetings for the
past several years and was completely inactive in FY 1972. In recent
years its activity was confined to occasional reviews of external
research project and this is no longer a function of the Subcommittee.
3. In view of the above, it is herewith recommended that the
EIC Subcommittee on General Economic Analysis be abolished, effective
immediately.
