The BIG approved on 28 February 1952 the transfer of the CIA Advisory
Committee on International Population Statistics to the EIC as- the Sub-
co d.ttee on Population and Msnpovao . (EIC- -12, 28-2-52., CIA WO. 4132207)
The new Subcommittee held Its first meeting or Thuxrsdayr. 10 April 1952.E and
subseqLientl y has been meeting c::very second Thurs-day. In the t ntbm3 of
its operation it has completed Its organizational setup and launched i tss
first tm projects.
