Secretary Rogers is in the process of deciding whether to use NPIC briefing boards at the UN as evidence of Egyptian violation of the cease-fire. c. Senator Percy, in an appearance at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, became involved in a discussion with campus militants concerning the Vietnam Center at SIU. An Inter-Agency Internal Security Committee, chaired by the FBI, is examining the likelihood of subversives within the U.S. having access to or using nuclear devices. b. There will be an Agency briefing of PFIAB on 8 or 9 October focusing on the Middle East. OCI has the main burden. PFIAB is interested in the intelligence community's capability for collection of intelligence on the Middle East and especially the U.S. intelligence capability for monitoring the cease-fire along the Suez Canal.
