Approval of Minutes 1. Action: The minutes of the meeting of 23 April 1951 (IAC-PA-2 7 were approved. German Attitudes on Rearmament (NIE-21t) 2.. Action:' Postponed until the next meeting at the request of Mr. Armstrong. The changes proposed by General Bolling will be taken up in connection with the full consideration next week. Likelihood of Satellite Attack on Yugoslavia in Spring3 q (ac-D-18) 3. Action: Agreed that there should be an immediate review of the earner estimate on Yugoslavia (NIE-29), taking into account new intelligence and confirming or revising the estimate. Indochina 4. Action: Agreed that a new estimate should be made on Indochina rather than attempting to revise the earlier one (NIE-5). 5. Action: Agreed a National Estimate should be produced on Burma starting on the basis'of the terms of reference sub- mitted by the State Department. Guerrilla Warfare in China 6. Action: Agreed that there should be developed immedi- ately an estimate on guerrilla warfare in China specifically designed to meet urgent needs of the Government, After the completion of the urgent estimate consideration will be given to any necessary broadening of the problem in order that it may be issued as a special estimate. Prospects for the Creation of an Adequate Western European Defense 7. It was reported that this NIE has been cancelled in view of the fact that there is no current demand for the paper as it now stands.
