Approval of Minutes 15 February 1955 Meeting (IAC-M- 184) Approved as written. 2. Semi-Annual Status Report for the NSC on the Foreign Intelligence Program (IAC-D- 55 8, 4 February 1955; IAC-D-55/8. 1, 9 February 1955) Action was deferred at the request of the DCI pending consideration at the Representatives' level of suggested CIA amendments. 3. 24-Hour Watch for the Indications Center of the IAC Watch Committee (IAC-D-6/9, 11 February 1955) After an extended discussion, which revealed considerable differences of opinion regarding the character of and necessity for a 24-hour watch, it was agreed to recruit up to an additional five persons for the Indications Center. Those participating agencies who find it feasible to make personnel available for this purpose will do so. A final decision on the proposed permanent 24-hour watch was postponed. 4. Probable Developments in Yugoslavia and Its Future Orientation (NIE 31-55) Approved as amended. Unless objection is raised by a member at the next meeting of the IAC, the Secretary proposes to release to USIA, SNIE 11-4-55 "Review of Current Communist Attitudes Toward General War" and NIE 31- 55 "Probable Developments in Yugoslavia and Its Future Orientation. " 4. Notice of NSC Action No. 1307, dealing with port security aspects of US continental defense, was transmitted by the Executive Secretary, NSC, to the Director of Central Intelligence on 21 January 1955. The Office of Naval Intelligence has since confirmed that this matter was in hand and that in its opinion no action by the IAC per se was required. This matter will therefore not be raised in the IAC except at the specific request of a member.
