1. IAC Membership
The Chairman and members welcomed General Lewis,
recently designated Director of Intelligence, Headquarters, United
States Air Force, as a new member of the IAC, replacing General
Samford.
2. Approval of Minutes
22 May Meeting
(IAC-M-240)
Approved as written, subject to amendment to item 6, to
add the following:
"It was agreed that the release should not be
considered a precedent for the release of
other estimates of this character or concerning
this area."
The members concurred in the suggestion of the Chairman that it
should be the general understanding that no decision to release an
estimate should ever be construed as a binding precedent.
