REVISION OF INTELLIGENCE WORKING GROUP TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. The proposed revision of paragraph 8, IAC-D-53/1,
25 July 1952, is approved. (See IAC-D-53/3, 12 February
1953)
2. It is not considered necessary to distribute a
revised copy of IWG terms of reference. IAC agency offices
are requested to note their documents accordingly.

REVISION OF INTELLIGENCE WORKING GROUP TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. In accord with the National Security Act of 1947 and NSCID 1.1.
and. to prevent an interpretation of paragraph 8, IAC-D-53/1, 25 July
1952, which conflicts with departmental regulations issued by any IAC
agency, CIA proposes that the subject paragraph be revised to read as
follows:
"The members and associate members of the IWG shall have access
within the IWG to that intelligence and information produced or ob-
tained by an IAC agency, which is needed for the fulfillment of the
IWG mission, subject to appropriate security clearances and the con-
trols and procedures of the originating IAC agency".
2. Agreement to the revision has been reached at the inter-agency
working level with the approval by the IWG.
3. The members of the IAC are requested to telephone or write their
concurrences or non-concurrences to this Office,, ATT:
by Thursday, 19 February 1953.
