The Main Locomotive Sheds had about 69 locomotives, of which five were allotted
to Katowice and several to Bydgoszoz; (Bromberg) and Warsaw. Out of the total
number of locomotives,, half were in commission and the remainder under repair
or complete overhaul0 Two or three locomotives were allocated for Soviet use.
20 to 30 were employed daily on freight trains, and three to four on passenger
trains.
