L. 1L compilny of Azerbaijan soldiers recently crossed the Turco-Russian
border in the district a Kars near ItaraGse? and panetrated 12 kilometers
within Torkish territory. An encounter took place between the Soviet troops
and the Turkish frontier guard which resulted in the death of ten Russian
soldiers and one Turkish officer. The coRvaander of the Russian border forces
e7hohlainad that the RussiarAhad crossed the border by mistake and were under
the belief that they ware still on Soviet territory. kpologies were made,
and the bodies of the ten itaerbaijan soldiers were returned.
