SUPPLEMENT
1. Units from Germany arrive in Bydgoszcz (Bromberg) every three months. They
are composed of young soldiers wkto undergo training on German ePanzerfaust!
and on 22 motor-long iron pipes which are supported on the ground by legs
and which are carried by two men. After three months of training, these units
return to Germany. They are billeted in the former barracks of the 62nd Infantry
Regiment in ulica War esesa w u (Street and in barracks in ulicaa Gdanska (Street);
the former hold about 2,000 and the latter barracks 4,00+0 - 5.000. These
figures mould correspond with peacetime accommodation facilities.
2. Soviet headquarters are located in the building of the former Cadet School.
A vholo block of school buildings in the center of the town to also occupied
by some military headquarters. /'his block is surrounded by a high fence be-
a.ind .aich Soviet officers, MOO'*, and Soviet women in uniform can be seen.
In September 1945, this block of buildings was occupied by a hospital. The

The Bydgoszcz (Bromberg) railroad bridge is guarded by Soviet unites. The
officer In charge of the railroad station is a Soviet.

The bridge at Fordon has been temporarily repaired and is guarded by Soviet
units;
Alt Xistrsyn only one track across the railroad bridge is in commission. A
wooden bridge has been erected for pedestrians, which is guarded by Poles on
the eastern bank of the Oder and by the Bed Army on its western bank,

6. Soviet infantry which was billeted in. Zabkowiicee (Frankenstein) In Lower Silesia
left the garrison on 14 June 1946 and was transferred to the Soviet Zone of
occupation in Germany.
