SUPPLEMENT The Siamese government is "stalling" regarding the invitation from Pandit Rehm to attend an Asiatic conference to be held in India o probably next t:arcb 4 The Siamoee Foreign Minister has denied ever receiving the Invitation, although It was announced in New Delhi that Siam had been Invited. A rumor rculatin in Bangkok is that the invitation arrived In October 1946, mitten on Weh: is personal stationery. It to said an official at the Foreign Office refused to accept It it was addressed to the Institute of Pacific Relations. The letter is alleged to have been finally delivered to the Indian Cultural Lodge in Bangkok, When the Indian Consul arrived in gkok he questioned Foreign Minister Wai Direk Jaiyar aaa who was apathetic in the matter, The Indian Consul then went to Prince Dbani, who declined to act in the matter as it sounded too "Political".
