Brucker Zuoker-Fabrik: The Soviets have proposed a nixed company in which 52%
;rs10-7--aresare to be held by USIVA and 48% by the Austrians. The owner of
the Brucker Zucker-Fabrik indicated his willingness to accept this arrangement
but has been discouraged from doing so by the Ministry of Property Control, '
because this woad create a precedent which the Ministry is anxious to avoid,
During the middle of October 1946 it was the policy of the Soviets to suggest
nixed conpanies-in every case where Austrian interests still exist and can be
documented.- Dr. Kraulandts-Ministry is anxious to avoid this, as, in his opinion,
the Soviets, by this method, could extend their influence into the western sone.
