1. During the recent visit to Innsbruck it is reported that the Austrian Foreign
Minister,, Dr. Gruber arranged with LendesMutpmsnn Weisegatterer'and Erich
Aron of the South Tirol Volkapartei (SVP) to have Hofrat Pr. Kneusl take
over the new Office for the South Tirol in Innsbruck which is to be affiliated
with the Austrian Foreign Ministry. m ausl Is now in Innsbruck holding pre-
liminary conversations concerning the organization of the new Office.
2. Gruber is also said to have agreed to appoint a special official in the Vienna
Foreign Office to deal with the South Tirol question, Baron Kripp, a native of
the South Tirol and at present Legation Counsellor in Prague, has been chosen
for the post,
3. The SVP has been instructed by Gruber to send representatives to Vienna and
Innsbruck to instruct Xr4 pp and Sneusi in their new tasks. The SVP Is planning
to send Dr. Tinsl to Vienna for fourteen days to Instruct Kripp and because of
a shortage of pt. sonnsl the SVP is asking that Tins] be permitted to instruct
neuei at the azz's time
