a) Between7 and 10 January, truck columns moved northward through
Halle. Many of them were hauling anti-tank guns and AA machine guns.
All trucki were marked: T U1 TA 4 (apparorvly preceded by the cross-
ed artillery gun symbol). On 14 January several truck convoys also

temporarily occupied sometime in January by three motorized rifle
regiments, one motorized artillery regime at with 150 mm g;iuns, and
one armored division with T-34 tanks. Those units were said to have
come from Czechoslovakia and on 27 January were at Bernburg (D76),
although the HQ staff was still-in Halle,
