The new Minister of Agriculture and Forestry is ing. Jose Levstik0
MNote: Lev tik was born in Zagori e in 3.908.1 the son of
a, p~ . Graduated in l and agriculture at Zagreb Un versity.
He joined the Commudat Party wile still at school. one of the 25X1A6a
foundation members of the Slovene Liberation Front. Shortly
after the war he was appointed Deputy meter for Agriculture
and Forestry. As - a result of, constant disputes with Nribar,
he resigned and beoam General Secretary of the Pra idi
of the Slovenes Parliament. He was later appointed Spector
of the Slovene Government Control C -scan -a the Commission
responsible for forcing .bar's resi tion. )
As a result of representations and coWlainte from the Slovene Control
Commission, the Central Committee of the C t Party of Slovenia forced
Janet Briber - the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry - to resign on

a. Unwi LLirsgness to accept advice of experts;
b. Maladministration of. Slovene agriculture and forestry.
2. Ha bar has now been offered the sinecure post of President of the Co-operatives
Committee. He continues to function as a member of the Central Committee
of the Slovene Corrunist Party.
