1.. On the morning of 9 February two Soviet warships loaded with 30000 Chinene
Communist soldiers arrived at Liangshubeen Ce AA!) in the vicinity
of the Shahokou district of Dairen. After disembarkment they moved by cart
or on foot to the area of Teangtsutien -1-)I ), 30 rt./ kilometers
southeast of Pulantien (121-59, 39-24). Accerning to statewents made by the
Chinese Communist Soldier, these troops have been identified as former gar-
rison troops of Tinchiang (126,54, 41,42) and Changpal (128-110 41,25), They
had moved from Linchiang into North Korea at 1000 hews on 7 February,

2, About 6,000 Chinese Communiets are stationed from Shihho (121,520 39,20) north
to the Nationalist lines. Movement of Chinese Comma/let troops to or from

Corpe must try to persunde at least three men to join the Corpse As a result
of this draft 100 men, especially the younger men, leave Port Arthur Pud Dairen

4. An ironworks has been established in Dairen by the Chinese Communists for
their exclusive supply.
5. The Chinese Commuaists have 6/ sailboats in Port Arthur Harbor, The activities
of these vessels are undetermined ev,ept for one or too which carry goos
daily. Recently the boats sailed out of the port at night because one ned
been sunk by a submarine or mine iu the vicinity of laotiel.,ban

7. A Chinese Communist artillery brigade is in the area southeast of Pulantien.
It consists of 300 man equipped with four mountain guns and six mortars.
The gunners aro men of the former puppet Manchurian Army. On a high mountain
near Erhlungshan 520-01? 39-47? eight kilometers southeast of Pulantien,
two artillery pests have been set up. Fire is often openedon 1;atienalist
troops, These posts are protected by Soviet forces 25X1X
3. At Tashihpengkou (:.2& 4A4 ) Lrf 121-57, 39-127, 15 kilometers east of
Sanshihlipao (12148? 39-16)? the Chinese Communlsts have established a mil-
itary hospital to care for the increasing numbers of the wounded, It is now
occupied by more than 300 patients.
9. The Ghiness Communists are mobilizing the Peace Preservation Corps in Dairen,
Chinchou (12143, 39-07) and Liangchlatun (121-57, 39-14) to augment their
forces. Five hundred man of the Peace Preservation Corps are now at the front.

10. Oa 11 March, Chinese Communist authorities sent forty Japanese teciPicians and
an undetermined number of radio operators from Dairen to Shantung.
