In Saxony-Walt and Thuringia, the SiA ordered that all former Gera officers
including officials who held honorary ranks must r,tlister at their local police
stations during the period 6 to 20 June. On r gi tering, the persons concerted
had to cmp1ete a Fragebogen giving details of their milita y careers.
2. In Thuringn during the first half of May,, all f over naval personnel of the
ran of rite and above had to register. On police Gl'i'de= s, xelatives of rban
who fled to the West without registering forfeited' their ration cards. A
threat to this effect has also been published in Halle.
