Obrero (PCO - Communist Labor Party), headed by Augusto Duran, and the Partido Comunista Colombian? (PCC - Colombian Communist Party), headed by Gilberto Vieira Ihite. As reported previously, these parties represent the fragments of the former Partido Socialista Democratic? (PSD - Socialist Democratic Parte' which was dissolved at the Fifth Congress held at Bucaramanga, Colombia, in 4y 1947, 2. Both the PCO and the PCC have issued manifestos stressing their respec ,vs adherence to the pure and basic Communist principles of Marx and Lenin end accusing their rival of straying therefrom, 3. Although both parties are headed by well-known and old line Communists, it appears that the PCC and its leader Gilberto Vieira White will be recognized Moscow and the Communist Parties of neighboring Latm-American countries as tie group designated to carry the banners of communism in Colombia.
