LIST. 09t3etober 1947 PAGES SUPPLEMENT 1. Austrians in Bolivia are reported to be fearful of the appointment of Herbert Sickinger as Austrian Consul to Bolivia. Letters from Austria to Austrian refugees in Bolivia have stated that the name of Sickinger has been presented to the Austrian Foreign Ministry as a possible candidate for the position. Austrian refugees in Bolivia fear the appointment of Sickinger became they believe him to be under the influence of Julius Deutsch, a former Communist sympa!.4:~zor in Bolivia who was deported and returned to Austria several months , ago. L The name of Dr. Fritz Kalmar has also been advanced for the position of Austrian Consul to Bolivia.
