I. A certain Lapinski, former lycee professor in Po3and and reportedly a
resident of Belgrade, visited Switzerland during the first week in
Septerbe;,'Q He was en route to Belgium from Belgrade.
2. Late in September, it was reported that four rem were to arrive in Brussels
from Belgrade. They were charged with the rearm' nt for and liaison with
the International Brigades. These nen, it was r~3ported, were Lapinski,
Kav,zheshchinski., Sucharev, and Bartosiewiez.
3. In Switzerlandg, Lapinski saw Brandel, Polish I4i3.:ltary Attache; and KoWto. He
also intended to see a certain be. Gorska,whose real name is Eugenia Lozinsks.
Source does not know trhether or not Lapinski and Gdrsffi mat. Lapinski, Gorska,
and General Iiaalov belong to a group whose mission it is to facilitate the pas-
sage through Switzerland of International Brigad members who have been trained
in Yugoslavia. Source claims that .i:;slov is heal of the Soviet I7ilitary Mission
in Warsaw.
Another Polish Com~runist, Stanislaw Latest, a resident of Paris, arrived in
Geneva short: r after Lapinski. He, t ~ is repor 2y involved in the Inter-
national Brigades. In Geneva, he had a long con?erration with the Swiss law-
yer Vincent, one of the leaders in the Parti du ?'ravailo Lament left Born in
the direction of Thun, in a car driven by Wols1. Lapinski was also seen in
Wolsicy s company.
