During the past month new Soviet forces, consisting mostly of artillery and infantry, have been transferred to Plovdiv, some from the Sli:ven area and some from abroad. ioita of these troops are said to be in the border gone. Numerous young Russian civilians are reported to be newly arrived in Plovdiv. 2. The Soviets are now equipping the Bulgarian Army with standard Russian arms. At Baloik Bulgarian aviators are being trained in the use of the new Russian twin engine bomber vhich has a speed of 560 kilcmmeters. The Bulgarian Army is said to have been reestablished at ten divisions. Varna harbor has been closed during the past month, possibly so that the Russians can bring in military supplies.
