1. Forrmr German Ar.ba-eador Uadolt r has agreed to a advisor
in the "Standing Committee for the Preparation of the Peace Treaty- wnxcu
4m(2, is to be established by the People's Council. On 10 April 1948 NJadoiny
had a discussion to this effect with Wilhelm Pieck but stipulated that
there should not be too nick publicity given to this.
2. During the diseussion1 Pieek told Hadolrily that the Russians did not want
mentioned the question of the Oder - Noises Lino as they feared that the,
Poles would be ready to wage war on the question. (This was presumably
no more than an excuse conceived t' Pleck.)

3. In Nadolcv's view the SED is hoping to have the entire -motion of the
People's Council and the "People's Petition" resolved t3 August 1948,1
and that tv then the "Peoria's Petition" will have formally demanded
Gorran unity. The constitution will have been made, and the so-called
"all Gorlan" government established, which will then be recotised ty
the Russians. The west Gerran Govoraoent would thou be attacked as a
separatist rovemont.
