1. In Shanghai, as a result of the creation of the Polish Republic of 1918, the
'Polish Committee" was organized with the motto "Unity with the Fatherland and
Obedience to Gover+n:aenlo,". This . Committee was a cultural and charitable society,
non-political in nature. Until December 1941, there was a Polish Legation at 26
Route Delestre/83 Route Piohon at which Stanislaw B. k. de Rossol, was the Acting
Consul General and Piotr kroz was Chancellor.
2. After the departure from Shanghai in August 1942 of the Polish Legation Staff,
the Executive Committee of the Polish Residents Association at 41 Route Cohen,
telephone 70013, was charged with the care. cf Polish nationals residing in China;
the Polish Residents Asnociation was a semi-officials organization represontin;7
the antire Polish community and recognized by the Japanese authorities.
3. In 1941-1942 the Executive Committee of the Polish Residents Association cousievtsd

Chairman: Dr. Stanislaw Tomaszewski (Tomashevaky), H. D., 818/F Avenue Joffre
Vice Chair n: Stanislaw i asprzy'k, former Polish officer, a successful
businessman and partner of the brothers Molostvov, contractors for the
Japanese Army and Navy; Kaasprzyk died of nicotine poisoning in Peiping in
January 1946.
Secretary-General: Marian Krzyzanowski, engineer., employee of the French
Tramway Company in Shanghai; address, 169/66 Avenue Dtfbaail
Members: A. Fa jgenbaum, Jewish refugee of Polish citizenship
Ernest Landau, Jewish refugee of Polish citizenship
