1. The Polish Pad Cross offices in Sao Paulo have teaporarily ausponded their
activities, and Director Stanislaw Dek?arsewsicii, has been relieved of his post
However, it has been learned through the Polish Legation in Rio do Janeiro
that this branch will be reopened in the near future a It w"ill engage in social
activities only, discontinuing the practice of sending paces .to Poland in
view of animosity aroused in Brazil over nom-delivery of item. During the
period preceding the reopening, the various members of the staff `WIU2 contint
to meet,, with the ezption of Deirarzewski, who plans to leave for Poland shortly..
