The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Montevideo will continue to ignore
the designation of Karel foyer as Czechoslovak Minister to Uruguay,.
A communication from Prague r.. n is g Hoyer to the post left vacant by
Dr. Mirosiav Rasin arrived recently at the Uruguayan Foreign Office
and has been disregarded. One official at the Foreign Office com-
mented that no amount of pressure applied by the Prague Government
will result in Hoyer t s official recognition.
A previous communication from Czechoslovak diplomats in Buenos Aires,
designating the alleged Cotm?mriist agent as Dr. Rasints successor., was
also i ,.ored (cf. ', and the Foreign Office was expected to
continue printing Dr. fasints name as the official Czechoslovak repre-
sentative in Uruguay,
