CENTRAL INT ' PAGENCY REPORT
The Bulgarian 3rd. Division has been rearmed and moved south of the Sliven
Yatnbol - Elhovo area. The 3rd Division is now uo to full strength.
2.
The commander of the 3rd Division, believed to be General Diubenovz, has been
replaced. The Division is now under the command of the "Pertison" Colonel
Dobri Marinov Tchurev.

.Parts of this division are encamped at Kermen and 4iha.ilovo.

The entire 19th Regiment is on the Greek frontier in th
e
region of Pashrnakli, The 7th Infantry Regiment has two battalions, which have
been rearmed, on the Greek frontier.. The S t Xa'fa~xtry Regiment has two
battalions and a Special Battalion on the Greek frontier. One battalion
has remained in Varna. The 5th Artillery Regiment has its heavy artillery
group on the Greek frontier. The "rd, Regiment of Army Heavy Motorized
Artillery has remained at Shumen.
5. The headquarters and one batta.lion of the 30th Infantry Regiment are at
Simeonovgrad. Two battalions are at Ivailovgrad (Orta Koi) R
6. The 3rd Coastal Artillery regiment and. the heavy artillery group of the 6th
Artillery' Regiment are at Burgas.
7. The 9th Infantry Division has been reactivated. The 9th Artillery Regiment
of the r'th Infantry Division is now stationed at Sevlievo. It;~ corposition

a. The 1st and 2nd Batteries are armed with old Schneider 75 millimeter
field guns, horse-drawn; the battery has six horses, and the men are
,armed with Soviet automatics.
b. The 3rd Battery is- an anti-tank unit and. is armed with new Soviet anti-
tank guns, some are drawn by horses a.nd others by small trucks. The men
are armed with automatics.
c. The dth and 5th Batteries rave 75 millimeter mountain tans (Schneider)
rind. five mules. The men are ,,.rmed -ith Soviet automatics and carbines.
