18 be vet up, composed of nine city deputies and nine citizens. This Tnuld,
be galled the"peonle'^ carrittee" or "committee of eithteen" and would take
over the city.

from the mass organizations (FDGB). It Y.jan intended that this committee should
be cot up on 26 August, but, as the City Ansenbly neetinj T.?ras postponed, this
did not happen.
