It is be tievr.d that Col. Fra)cisco Araita, Chief of-the Armed Forces, would

elements of the country to s1.pport him.

among ti-)se to be overthrown. This movement is reportedly being planned
by the ;uprorters of ex-President Ubico, and will be headed by General
Alfred., Castaneda, who has beon in exile for the past six months. Gen.
Casts.ieda has left his hiding; place, ant his present whereabouts are unkaiown.,
He r thought to have reseivvi arms from outside souroes. According to the
liberal factions of tl,.e army and oprosition would take over the govern-
