The attached table shows the total production in the Soviet
z9ne of Germany, excl.usivE of the Soviet AGs, for the month
of August for the principal branches of industry. The figures
in colui a refer to production in factories of the publicly
owfed enterprises under direct control of the DY'K, while
column gives the production in publicly owned enterprises
be'ow the zonal level..
2. Thp,production figure is the actual total production, including
cx.t a,ated repair work. Frocessing work (Lohnauftr.ge.) is not
included except in the food industry.
3. The monthly producticn total is somewhat higher than the t for
Ziy however nearly all the increase I s in the food industry.
The totals and methods of reporting were very carefully
