About sixty Cuardia are stationed in Rivas. there are entrenchments in Penas Blancas, and the men there are reportedly armed with heavy and light machine gunds and trench mortars. 25X1 X6 the newspapers had been exaggerating 25X1 X6 or even fabricating the stories of the Costa Rican exiles near Rivas. - ~they number thirty, and certainly represent no real danger to Figueres. 25X1X6 the garrison at Penas Blancas fluctuates from two hundred to four hundred men, although rarely reaching the latter figure.
