1. Yusuf Maroon accompanied the Pakistan.?-sinister of Labor on his recent trip
to Czechoslovakia, Poland, Russia and Yugoslavia. Haroon was interested
in establishing airline routes to these. countries in connection with his
company, Pak Airways., Ltd. On their return trip to rakistan, while they
were in Cairo, these two anncunced that Pakistan had made trade agreements
with Czechoslovakia, Poland and ;"ussia and that. Pakistan would exchange
jute and cotton for capital goods. Fach of these countries is to send
representatives to Lakistan.
2, llaroon is expected to come to the United States in January or ;,"larch 1949.
Besides Pak Airways, ilaroon controls Yusuf faaroon dons, Ltd., which has
offices in Cairo, 'neva, 11aris and London. One of Haroon's employees
is a Burmese named Akbar 'usti Khan, who often travels with him. Ilaroon
is anti-Jewish and anti-American, Himself a supplier of arms to Arab nations, he
has stated that the United States was openly shipping arms to Israel
through United States oil companies.
3, Haroon is able to make trips to Russian satellite countries on very short
notice; his passport shows that he is permitted to enter Russia., Czech-
oslovakia and Yu.rgoslavia, and it allows him to enter as many times as he
desires for a period of six months. Iiaroon has a British-Indian passport and
a Pakistan diplomatic passport issued by the Pakistan govern-mnt. He
usually travels by chartered plane. He is not allowed in India.
