All purchases for the Yugoslav naval dockyards are made through the Societe
Centieri Navali dal Levante whose two agencies are located atz

2. This oompanyy has business relations with the Societe Cantieri Navali del
Qdarnaro, whose head offices are located at Piazza Crispi 3, Milan, The
Societe Cantieri Naval del Levfnte has providd-rl materials of various kinds,
and, in 1946, engaged specialized personnel for the Fiume Naval Dockyards,
to carry out the construction of radio-controlled torpedoes of the latest
Italian type.
8o It was expected that material for the construction of these torpedoes would
arrive from Russia, but information dating from November, 1947; indicated
that manufacture of the torpedoes, beoauae of lack of material, had not oom-
menoedo
40 It is known that the aforementioned comp ny endeavored to purchase radar
apparatus (especially of the French type), It is believed that such appara-
tus could not be found in Italy or Switzerland,
5o It also is known that the company was anxious to purchase ingots of electro%
lytio copper, and, quite recenttly, ingots of pure alumimmo
