An engineer unit was observed training with heavy bridge equipment in the
Witten'oerge-Seohausen area (Y69-67). Pontoons were mounted on tanks, which
drove into the river from both banks of the Elbe. Other tanks wore seen ford-
ing the strewn,. Vehicles involved were in the B 04 and B 2-69 series,

a. The Schwerin garrison was engaged in 'combat training in the area beti,en
Gadebusch and Rehna (T18) on 19 November. A larbe number of najors and
colonels observed the proceedings. Vehicles: PR 03--93, 14 04--12, M 09-03,
M 14-17, 14 53.95.
b. A training area between Gedebusch and Zarenthin is used alternately by
units frcon Schwerin and Wiamar. The parent unit in this area, consists of
a mechanized division, an armored unit, and an nrtillery bri!ade. Groups
of three to five tanks were seen training with live ej rn nit&on. Vehicles:
B 3-19, B 7-53, B 8-48 series.
