1. The attempts of the Accion Chilena Anticomunista (ACRA) to organize

an intelligence service, as reported in have ended in failure,.
At present no ACHA intelligence service exists, although the leaders
are.still interested in forming such a branch. Tentative plans call
for the training and use or intelligence purposes of twenty-eight
members from each of the five ACHA bases. Source believes, however,
that not more than twenty-eight to thirty specially trained ACHA members
would be utilized for this work.
2. The ACHA leaders are convinced that their organization has been
effectively penetrated by members of the Cc?iunist Party of Chile.
They consider it necessary to form an efficient counter- and positive
intelligence service for use in the struggle against Communism.
