to The governing junta of Costa Rica is preparing a decree to force the political
exile from t1:at country of all leaders of Caribbean revolutionary movements by
15 January 1949, The junta is acting in response to recent pressure from the
Ui2tistas, and in opposition to Jose Figuereao It is reported that the decree
will name two hundred individuals specifically,
2 The revolutionaries themselves are undecided whether to leave the country
voluntarily or force the government to expel them. Figueres advised leaders
of the Caribbean LegU&M 5 January that he would resign before permitting
their expulsion. Comment. It is believed certain that revolutionaries
will begin departing on 6 January. The majority, including ?fliguel Ramirez and
