American delegations attempted, according to source, to activate a
Latin Aaerican-Arab bloc which mould be directed against the Anglo-American
bloc.. particularly against the United States, Leader of this movement
among the Latin American delegates was Diego Motinaria of Argentina,
and other active supporters were Del Rio y Canedo of Mexico, Carneire of
Brasil, and the Peruvian delegate., lXolinari, Del Rio y Cando, and Carneire
were in contact with Sami Kayyalah of Syria; Pierre Jumayl, the Lebanese
Phaalange leader; Kamal Jumblatt, Druze leader; and Camille Shaman

in Paris, Juan Bramuglia and the Ministers of
Brazil and Uruguay have had discussions with Faris Khuri, Ahrad Daruq,
Riyad Sulu and Zayn-al-Din on the subject of Arab-Latin American
cooperations
3, Sin+i'aani y, the Spanish Charge d'Affaires in Beirut, Teodoro do Cuevas,
is working actively to increase Spanish prestige in Lebanon., in order
to obtain for his country the place once occupied there by France,
