The detachment of Guardia Nacionial troops at that point is still heavy, and regular movement of Giardia trucks to the border continues. Free transit is permitted followers of Calderon Guardia. 2. An individual named Jose Jesus 16ojica, wearing Calderonista insignia on a khaki uniform, arrived in Rivas on b January 1949. He purchased halt rs which he said were for outfitting a cavalry unit for an attack on Liberia a I Costa Rica. He departed for the border on 7 January in a truck loaded with sacks of -purchased Goods, - 3.
