According to Pest, the political representative of the Indonesian Repub-
lic in Manila,, local Indonesian officials are in contact with the interior
of Indonesia through an,.IndoneaIan group in New Delhi having direct radio
contact with the Indonesian interior. Communications between Manila and
New Delhi are by cable,
2. Radon Mohammed Surianta Djumena, the Indonesian counselor of the Dutch
legation in Manila, recently invited Pesik for dinner at his home, Where
he suggested that Bra. Rare one, wife of the Indonesian trade representative
be made head of an "aid to Indonesia" movement. Pesik disregarded Djnmena::s
suggestion and discussed the matter with Mrs. Quenon, widow of the former
president. It is believed that one of Mrs. Quezon's daughters will head an
Indonesian relief movement --- still in the planning stage -.-. in the Philip-
pines.
3. Pass intimated that American-Indonesian Corporation (AIC) has assumed the
responsibility for handling silver bullion of the Indonesian Republics and
that the local office of AIC is making limited disbursements to Indonesian
officials from these official funds.
