1. A special organization called the Centralna Uprava Brodogradije (Central
Shipbuilding Administration), with headquarters in Belgrade,, has been
established under the Ministry of National Defense in place of the
Glavna Uprava Brodogradnje (Chief Shipbuilding Authority) of Belgrade.
2. The Contralna Uprava Brodogradnje consists of three direotoratea:
a. Glace. Direkei ja Seernih Brodogradi li sta EVALUATE
(Chief Directorate for Northern Shipyards) with.headquarters
at Fiume.

(Chief Directorate tor Southern Shipyards) with headquarters

(Chief Directorate for the Shipbuilding industry) with headquarters

3. In prowar days there existed at Pima a Gle.vna Uprava Brodogradnje
(Chief Shipbuilding Authority) with a separate branch, the "Uprava
Gornjoniorsklh Brodogradiliata ll.- for administering various shipyards, a?g.,
"Nartinscica"? "Zurkovo" and "Losinj" building wooden vessels in that area.
"Martinscicaa" and "Zurkovo" now come under the Croat Ministry of
Fisheries, "Losinj" being administered by the Chief Directorate for Northern
Shipyards. %

76 The Central Office for Naval Arobitecture and Marine Engineering is now
responsible for, all matters connected with ship design, construction and
marine engines, as required by the Central Shipbuilding Administration.
8. There is also an independent security organisation - the ;uisJek Bezbednosti -
with political commissars and UDB agents in every directorate or
subordinate establishments.
9, The above directorates and establishments are primarily engaged on work for
the Merchant Marine, but any v: rk for the Yugoslav Navy is given priority.
(There is a permanent Naval Ccrmdosion at "3. Naj" and "Aleksandar Rankovic"r
naval inspectors being allocated to other establishments.)i
