Me. CPfd has recently formad the "Cowmittee for Help to Indonesia" in AAsterdam
as a substitute for the "Association fletherlands-Indonesian which CPa actively
supported until the s ..unist rebellion in Indonesian
2 After the rebellion occurred, the Association ceased to agitate on behalf of the
:Indonesians because of lack of information on events and of its conviction that
the matter was strictly a concern of the Republican Government. The CPN took
an opposite view and im.sediately attacked the Republican regiaue and supported
the come uni st insurgents, at the same time unsuccessfully endeavoring to gain
around the Association.
3. In view of its failure, CF114 then set up the "Co,tittee for Help to Indonesia",,
plans for which had already been prepared, as the vehicle for its continuing
opposition to the Dutch Government's policy and actions in Indonesia. The
expressed purpose of the Coriaittee is to assist all victims of the Dutch
Government's activities in the NEL,
