1. Having been unable to secure appreoiable quantities of ball bearings from
the United States or Sweden, the Bulgarian Government is now making
efforts to secure ball bearings through private firms in Switzerland.
2. Dr. Peter Aladzhov, former 7--artime Economic #dninistrator of Bulgaria
and until recently a leading advisor to the Bulgarian National Bank, is
seeking the best means by which large quantities of ball bearings might
be secured through Swiss firms. The Bulgars are offering British pounds,
some American dollars, shipments of pork, pork fat and pork rind.
3. Correspondence is being carried on with certain Swiss firms but,-
advises, it is highly improbable that any trade will be forthcoming.
