DATE OF INF The 'Zorka" plant for the manufacture of chemical products is located to the right of the Belgrade-Sabac highway, about two kilometers from Sabae. It employs about 1,500 workers on three eight-hour shifts. Apart from copper sulphates, it allegedly produces poison gas. The factory is connected with the main railroad line, but also makes use of the small nearby port on the Sava River. Raw materials for these plants are supplied by the Bor mines. An armored car factory is under construction on the outskirts of Brodica, a Village in the neighborhood of Kucevo, about 30 kilometers southeast of Belgrade. The existing railroad line from Belgrade to Kucevo will be extended as far as Brodica to expedite communications with the new factory. About 10,000 workers will be employed-at the plants. 3. Four other factories are located in the vicinity of the Zmaj and Ikarus plants, namely the Sutieska I, Sutieska II, Galenika and Ivan Milutinovic. The Sutieska I employs 300 workers for spinning cotton; the Sutieska II manufactures cotton goods and has 150 workers; the Galenika, (a factory for chemical productshas recently been equipped for the manufacture of penicillin. The Ivan Milutinovic, which before the war was known as the Vukoijcic plants, employs about 600 workers for the manufacture of textiles for the Yugoslav army. This factory was recently enlarged by the addition of a / three-store building. 4. "Z tr Factories: The Zmaj factories for the construction of airplanes l o c a t e d ?n LTie vicinity of Zemun. An average of one plane per month is built at the plants, since these are mostly used for the repair of rplanes. The factories were partially destroyed by air bombardments and ere recently repaired.
