1, As a result of the events following PaL'niro Togliatti's attempted
assassination, the Italian Communist Party is reorganizing its
Apparat_,in conformity with-Cominform directives. The new Apparat
would serve as a 'ffifth column" in Italy in the event of a conflict
between the Western and Eastern powers,
2, The following formations will be included in the new organization and
will be composed of militant activists:

"Super Gap" - Comprising ten to twenty two men chosen from
the ranks of militant Communists.

PCI leaders estimate that there will be approximately 50,000 men
included in the above me itioned formations.
The armament contemplated in the plan would consist of light and heavy
automatic weapons, "Stern" and automatic rifles, muskets, grenades and
flare pistols.
8. Also included in the plan is the political sub-division of Italy into
18 sectors corresponding to the number of Italian regions the headquarters
of.which will be located in Turin, Milan., Verona, Bolzano, Trieste, Genoa,
Bologna,-Florence, Ancona, Perugia, Rome, 1'Aquila, Naples, Bari, Potenza,
Reggio Calabria, Palermo and Cagliari.
