(LISTED BELOW) SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT NO. 1, Despite the denial of the Vanguardia Popular that it is contributing to the general unrest and government sabotage in Costa Rica,. a member of the party reported. having received from a man named Oscar Benavides two small home- made bombs, along with a group of the latest bulletins from the Calderon Guardia invasion forces. The bulletins, along with detailed instructions,, originated. in the Nicaraguan Legation.- 2. The Vanguardia Popular member, while he admitted to source that his knowledge ,of any terroristic program within Costa Rican against the Figueres regime was very incomplete, stated that it was his impression that sabotage would increase in intensity and culminate in revolution during the first week of February. He added that sabotage was .helping Calderonista efforts, against. 25X1 X6 Figueret, 3. .A second source stated that the party was in possession of a small quantity of arms hidden during the course of the 1948 Costa Rican invasion, 4.
