I, All of the Residency of Atjek. including the islands in the Indian Ocean,
is still under the Republican Emergency Government.
?, Atjeh is strongly defended by a division of the Tentera Nasional Indonesia (TNI)
which is comrosed of At:jehneso, Ambonese mercenaries (who man the field and
coastal guns), and Betake. Of the islands, only Nias, Kariun-Djawa*, and
Pulau Panaitan* are defended.
