2. In June 1948 the Central G:o tt a of the PCI organized the Union.

3. The U.I.S.P. is headed by the escretary general of the organization,
Gennaro Di Stazio, a resident of Ross, and a national council of about

is a political committee which ILs the task of getting the youth together
to discuss with them the dhr7 which threaten the nation and humanity

b. A Provincial section of th'* U.1: . P. has been set up in Bari. Its
temporary headquarters are in Uw Chauut?ar of Labor headquarters. No
external activities have yet undertaken. At present the local
section of the U.I.S.P. is buzy membere, looking for a
headquarters,,. preparing a ; ograul and other preliminary activities.
The regional political Cgmaiaaa:;ar is Armando Mastromauro, viva
inspector of the PCI tore the ra3ion of Apulia, commander of the
Garibaldi Brigades. The most active leaders of the local M.S.P.
section are the following :youths: Laura Caeadio and Domenico
Morino, both leaders of the Gerjbaldi Youth Movement, and a
certain Nicola Polisenq,
8. The technical agsrt direction of the organization has been assigned to
the following: Donato Iiagno, boss at Bari on 21 August 1905, resident
of Hari, a former officer of the Fascist Militia; and Antonio Rubaudo,
bourn at Bari on 28 January 1920, resident of Bari, physical education
instructor.
9. Through Rubaudo the U.1.S.11'. hto applied to the provincial secretariat
of the Gitventu Italian (:etali, Youth) which is being liquidated to
obtain a nine year lease for the former G.I.L. (Fascist Youth Organiza-
tion) gymnasium offering forty ad W on lire and pledging to restore the
efficiency of the buildirAg aarsi. 3 r.atailations which have been seriously
damaged during the roar. Since tale matter is under the jurisdiction of
the national headquarters of the Cioventh Italiana, the application has
been forwarded to the National r,r nisaion of the organization. The C.O.
N.I. has also applied for the ust, of the gymnasimm.
