The following is a translation of what a--.nears to be notes made for or from
a Chinese Communist meeting where the organi7ati.on of a coalition government
is the topic of discussion. The name of LO Pei-Yuan ( ' appears at
the head of the document, and it is 'probable that the notes were m-do by or
for him, at some unspecified date, but probably durin the latter half of 1948.
The original translation indicates that the answers were written in on what
was probably a printed questionnaire, of which this is the e"A" portion.
A. Nature
(a) War and reconstruction.
(b) Class and race.
(c) Party and people.
(d) Provisionality and formalism.
1. What is the course to be followed for the period between the convention of
the New Political Consultative Conference and the formation of the Coalition'
Goverment?
(a)
The New YCC is different from the previous one. There was an
absolute government, (When the old PCC was held?)
(b) Government formed by the peoples representatives will be of a
provisional nature.
