to President Juan Manuel Galvez of Honduras reportedly met with Guatemalan
Chief of Armed Forces Francisco Arana at Lake Ujoa near the common
frontier at some time between 18 February and 28 February, to discuss
subjects of mutual interest. They are said to have signed a mutual friend-
ship and assistance pact, which was. in the nature of an agreement between
individuals rather than governments. Political agreements involving their
two governments are considered a logical corrollary to such a pacts, however.
No further details were reported.
