20 The Peace Preservation Corps units listed above are all composed of
Mongo1s, with the exception of thoso in the Ordos Left Blank Center and,
Ordos Right Plank Morvard banners. vrhich are composed of about half
Mongol and half Chinese troops
Once In a great while, the Chahar
ov nc a government has given tiia 'Knits in Chahar and 2i1ingol Leagues
from 20 to 30 rounds of ammunition per man; the Suiyuan Provincial Govern-
ment has occasionally done the .fame for the units in Ulanjap and Ye~aejo
Leagues, but in both cases, dell.vPry usually has not been made even four
or five months after the ammunition was committed.
3. The troops in the four leagues till have rifles. mostly 7?mm and 65mm
(type 38) Pieces, and there are a few light machine guns, but the equip.
went is old and the ammunition Is limited to about 80 rounds per man.
If, in moving to the Alashan area, these troops are forced to engage in
one or two battles, they will p:.vbably use. up their ammunition. It is
possible that some units will Eiaconnter Uljiwachir (Wulji Ochar) and his
Chinese Communist-controlled. Uoops, who number only about 500 and whose
